after a long hiatus...

I'm back. Well.. I am going to attempt to be... there was a time I managed to blog several times a week. And that was when Eileen was so very small.. I'm not sure how I found the time. And then there were a few years where I fell off the blog radar... most likely a combination of training for marathons, chasing a toddler, and some generally challenging periods.

Now, in what is somehow almost the middle of 2011, here I am. Eileen is almost five. And she is hilarious. I imagine there are countless parents who think their almost five year olds are the most hilarious kids ever.  But.. seeing as how I barely remember what I did three hours ago, I surely won't remember all the funny things she says and does years from now.. so I will (attempt) to keep it documented.  I imagine she'll be thrilled with this permanent history of herself in about ten years... heeheehee.

Josh and Sarah were married over the weekend, and Eileen was the Flower Girl. So of course

 hilarity ensued.  While she was shy about walking down the aisle, she had no qualms about blurting out "Sarah! Can I throw the flowers now?" smack in the middle of the ceremony. And of course Sarah said yes, and POOF... an explosion of petals from the front row. Yesterday, while in Chattanooga with Daddy and Sarah, Eileen informed them they weren't really married. This, of course, is because Daddy did not carry Sarah away and then ride off in an Enchanted Carriage.

Summer Camp starts next week.. we're waiting with baited breath for the Adventures to begin.
