Just for Fun.

 You know what's fun? Incredibly fun? 

Taking a couple of hours of PTO in the afternoon. Picking up your kiddo in the regular pick up line at school at regular dismissal. And THEN telling her that we're taking a surprise trip to Jump Jam.  THAT is fun. 

*Jump Jam is an indoor trampoline place. A giant warehouse full of trampolines. Music, lights and incredible giggly fun.  Plus hey. You get to burn calories too.  (this is when you have that face-palm moment of 'why didn't i think of that')...

In other news, how could i possibly post a blog without an "Erin Story"...

 Eileen and I got home from JumpJam (conveniently located at the end of our very own street), and within a nano-second the neighborhood kids were in the driveway. 

Spencer promptly got his basketball stuck in our goal. Bill wasn't home, but I've seen him use a broom or rake handle to push out a ball.

You know what's coming next right?  I got the rake.  And used the RAKE END. Got Spencer's basketball out, but now the rake is stuck.  Next door neighbor Joel couldn't have been more amused.  Right about then Bill pulled up.  Oh the neighborhood kids were loving it. 

Only me.  I know. 

(we won't discuss this past Saturday's run when I ate pavement at mile 8...)
